What do i actually do?
That's an answer that is constantly changing.
I usually tell people that I make videos. But that's only the beginning. The process of making a great video, telling a story, and connecting with an audience involves so much. I love meeting with my clients and developing relationship. I have stories from all of my shoots about fun things that happened, and still keep in contact with lots of my clients. I will always remember the laughs shared, and the creative ideas that we tossed around more than anything. I like to work alone because it allows me to be involved in the entire process of creation and give all my attention to a client. From start to finish I am there to help them understand what I do, how I do it, and why it will make them and their company better. I also happen to enjoy writing, so from time to time I post on my blog. I usually try to keep it motivational. I want people to read my stuff and understand that they do make a difference in the world in some form or another. Nothing anybody does is worthless, and video just happened to be the most powerful tool I could find to help me show that message.

My Favorite Video Project
Wasco Diamonds: Grow Up WD
Not only am I a content creator, but I am also a softball coach. The Diamonds have given me a couple chances to make some videos for the organization and with this one I was able to create a story. I knew this family of girls for a couple of years, and have had the chance to coach two of them. I had thought of the idea a long time ago, and last year was able to put it into action. This was one of the first times I was able to tell a story with one of my projects, and it turned out great. This is the kind of work I love to do. I want people to feel attached to the work they see, and to create an emotional connection with it. The more an audience feels connected, the more likely they are to be loyal to your idea or brand.
There's a lot of work still to be done!

There's lots of work to be done in the world, and I am only getting started.

Jake did a great job of producing our company video, from the angles of the shop to the way he told our story, to the quality of the video were all fantastic. This was our first attempt at producing a marketing video and we couldn’t be happier.
Jake made a promotional video for me I was able to blast on Facebook, YouTube, and my website. It really added credibility to my business. Working with him was a blast too.
Jake produced an amazing video for my company! Not only is he easy to work with, and understands the vision I had and is able to transform my ideas into incredible work! Jake is professional and is timely in his work and responses! Additionally, he has a wealth of video equipment and uses the best equipment for the job.
MY PROMISE
I will never provide average, or "acceptable" work. Everything I do has a purpose and a passion behind it, and I want my clients to know that they are getting my maximum effort. Whether that means scheduling lots of meetings to plan a video out, or just going with a good idea and taking it to the next level, it doesn't matter to me. I don't try to hide the things I am bad at either. If I can't do something to a level of quality that I want it done at, then I won't tell a client that I can do it. I don't lie about my work. I know what I am really good at, and I know even better what I am really bad at. Every artist has to know their limitations and that is one of my strengths. What I promise you is what you will get, and my number one goal is to show my clients their finished product and walk away seeing a smile on their face.
I Can talk about it, But you should probably check it out.
Lets talk about the Blog.
I started writing my blog after I realized that I enjoyed it. What started out as an assignment for a college class, turned into a really cool part of my life. Today, I tend to post more sparingly when I have free time or really have a thought I just cant keep in my head. I love to show people what I do, how I do it, and why what they do matters too. Everyone has some sort of purpose, they just have to find it. I hope that the things I write are able to show people something about themselves, or help solve some underlying issues that we all face on a daily basis. I hope to be writing more soon, but in the meantime please feel free to browse everything that I have already written!
